The Right Honourable Abdirahin H. Abdi, Speaker of the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA), wishes to congratulate His Excellency Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, following his re-election as President of the Republic of Uganda.
The victory is reminiscent of the faith the people of the Republic of Uganda have in his leadership and a vote of confidence in his abilities to deliver on the pledges over the next five years.
The re-election is a positive measure for the East African Community as we shall continue to benefit from President Museveni’s wise counsel as a Member of the Summit of the EAC. President Museveni has over the years been a firm believer in the integration of the EAC and duly exhibits exuberance, commitment and consistency in matters of the Community.
As EALA, we assure President Museveni of our full support and pledges of closer working ties for the benefit of all East Africans.
We wish President Museveni good health, happiness and prosperity as he continues to spearhead the vision for a prosperous and stable nation.
