RE:    CONGRATULATIONS AS RWANDA CELEBRATES 50 YEARS OF INDEPENDENCE

I present to you my compliments and write to congratulate you and the people of the Republic of Rwanda upon marking the 50th Jubilee of the Republic of Rwanda’s independence on July 1, 2012.

I note with much satisfaction that under your wise and able leadership, Rwanda has continued to enjoy sustained economic development, peace and stability.

Your Excellency, looking back and reflecting on half a century of Rwanda’s independence, it is worth noting that today, the country stands as a glimmer of hope characterized by sound development, good governance and democracy. On this auspicious occasion, permit me also to congratulate you on the occasion of celebrating 25 years of the founding of the Rwanda Patriotic Front and 18 years of liberation respectively.

The celebrations are apt and exemplify a deserved journey of resilience and we join in wishing you and all Rwandans prosperity.

Your Excellency, allow me to further express my gratitude to you and the citizens of Rwanda for the unwavering support to the East African Community. It is humbling to state that your contribution to the EAC has seen the integration process continue to be strengthened.

Please accept my heartfelt congratulations to you and through you to the people of the great nation.

Accept, Your Excellency, the assurances of my highest consideration.
