East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) Staff Retreat in Moshi, Tanzania

East African Legislative Assembly, Moshi, 15 February 2024: The East Africa Legislative Assembly (EALA) has organized a retreat for both the new and old staff members of EALA  in the scenic city of Moshi, Tanzania, the retreat aims to enhance teamwork, foster a spirit of collaboration, and promote efficiency in serving the East Africa Legislative Assembly.

This is a unique opportunity for EALA staff members to engage with one another, share experiences, and develop strategies to further strengthen the regional legislative body's operations under the theme: "The What, The why, and How to build effective teamwork"

The one-day program is designed to enable participants to meet and interact with staff members from different departments. Attendees will engage in various team-building activities, workshops, and skill enhancement sessions. Renowned speaker Prof. Pascal Mihyo, an expert will deliver insightful sessions on topics relevant to the EALA's work.

Moshi, with its breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro and its remarkable landscapes, provides the perfect setting for staff members to relax and re-energize.

During the retreat, the EALA staff will reflect on past achievements, address challenges, and propose innovative solutions toward greater regional integration and harmonization of policies within East Africa. This retreat offers a valuable platform for exchanging ideas, initiatives, and experiences for both the new and the old staff.

In his opening remarks, The clerk of the Assembly, Mr. Alex Obatre expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming retreat, stating, "This is an excellent opportunity for our dedicated staff members to come together and reaffirm their commitment to the shared goals, values, knowledge and aspirations of the East Africa Legislative Assembly".

The EALA retreat in Moshi, Tanzania, promises to be a remarkable event that will not only strengthen the bonds among staff members but also contribute to the growth and development of the East African region. It will serve as a platform to build lasting connections, acquire new skills, and inspire fresh initiatives for a stronger East Africa.
