The Second Meeting of the Third Session of the Second East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) will be held at EALA Chambers in Arusha, Tanzania from the 8th – 20st August 2009.

Notable business to be considered during the two weeks that the Assembly will conduct its Plenary and Committee Sessions include:
- Committee tours and visits
- Debate and passage of EAC Tourism Bill, 2nd & 3rd Reading and LVBC Bill, 2nd & 3rd Reading;
- Debate and adoption of report of the Accounts Committee on EAC Audited Accounts;
- Questions to the Council; and
- Motions and Resolutions.
The period will also see EALA participate in several activities to mark the anniversary that will include a soccer tournament involving all National Parliaments and local Clubs between 12th – 19th November 2009.
Second Meeting of the Third Session of the Second EALA has also a special sitting on the Thursday, 19th November 9.00AM-12.00 PM in commemoration of the EAC 10th Anniversary where Hon. Speakers of the five National Assemblies as well as the President of the Pan African Parliament shall address the Assembly.
